Total Pain Care
Improving Your Quality of Life
Total Pain Care was established by Dr. Eric Pearson in October 1995. This was a significant milestone in the healthcare industry for Mississippi and West Alabama. The clinic was initially named Pain Treatment Center and first located at Rush Foundation Hospital. Dr. Pearson was eager to address the increasing need for comprehensive pain management services in the region and so Dr. Kenneth Staggs joined the center in July 1996.
In July 2006, a decision was made to open a free-standing, self-owned clinic and ambulatory surgery center. The spacious 19,000 square foot facility set a new standard for pain management services in the area, gaining recognition for its multidisciplinary approach to pain treatment.
Dr. Pearson's vision and dedication to improving pain care services in the region have had a lasting impact on the field. To continue his innovative approach to pain management and commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Pearson founded Total Pain Care of Flowood in 2018. The Flowood location includes a redesigned clinic, along with a cutting edge, single-specialty ambulatory surgery center. Additional full-time clinics were opened in Philadelphia, Byram, and Vicksburg along with satellite clinics in Kosciusko and Hazlehurst. These expansions have allowed Total Pain Care to better serve patients in other locations and provide convenient access to high-quality pain management services. Total Pain Care employs more than 125 employees throughout all of its locations. This includes 6 Pain Fellowship Trained/Double Board Certified physicians and 15 nurse practitioners.

Looking towards the future, Total Pain Care will continue growing and adapting to meet the changing needs of patients. The field of pain management is constantly evolving, with new technologies and treatment modalities emerging. Total Pain Care has the opportunity to continue leading the way in interventional pain management, ultimately improving outcomes for patients and contributing to the overall well-being of the communities it serves.
